Family 5K Walk/RunDate: Saturday, May 10Time: 8:30AM Place: Ball Field Pavilion in Prairie Springs Park Thank you to everyone who attended the Family 5K Walk/Run held on Saturday, May 10. Walkers and runners of all ages and abilities took part in the 4th Annual Family 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, May 10, 2008 inside Prairie Springs Park. This annual event took place during Mother’s Day weekend in celebration of family and good health. This year’s walk/run has been designed as part of a three race series. In addition to the Family Walk/Run, the series will include a 5K walk/run held in conjunction with this year’s Prairie Family Days Celebration on August 9 and the 5K Run With the Turkeys, held on November 22, 2008. An overall male and female Series Champion will be announced at the conclusion of the 2008 5K Series. Each walk/run in the series will be a timed event. This year’s race featured two new, nationally recognized categories, the Clydesdale and the Athena.
