Pleasant Prairie Children's Film Festival 2007

The Information Technology Department for the Village of Pleasant Prairie is pleased to bring to you the second annual Children’s Film Festival. The Pleasant Prairie Children’s Film Festival offers children ages 4 to 15 an opportunity to express their video talents. The entries will be available for viewing during this year’s Prairie Family Days. Children ages four through fifteen may submit films for judging, with a Hollywood-like awards presentation taking place on Sunday, August 5 9:00am - 11:00am at TinselTown Theater in Kenosha. Categories for award consideration include: cinematography, special effects, storyline and animation. Individual entries will be judged according to age group. Age groups are: 4-6 year olds, 7-9 year olds, 10-12 year olds, and 13-15 year olds. Entries must not contain anything that most parents would consider offensive for even their youngest children. The film must be equal to or less than ten minutes in length, however, the preferred length is between five and seven minutes. The video submitted must truly be the work of the child, with only minimal assistance from an adult. Over $750 in prizes will be awarded. Entries will be judged in each category by age group for Individual entries. Group entries will be judged by category only. A winner will be selected in each category. A winner will also be selected from the Individual and Group entries for “Overall Best Video”.
